KV 265 creates and presents multimedia concerts, lectures, and educational workshops that combine arts, music, science, and technology. Its flagship project is a series called Science & Symphony films which consist of classical music accompanied by high-definition science films produced specifically to coordinate with the live classical performance. With this International Connections Fund award, Chicago-based KV 265, led by film producer, astronomer/astrophotographer, Dr. José Francisco Salgado, collaborates with Canadian composer, John Estacio, to create Moontides, a multimedia collaboration of orchestra and film focused on the lunar tides in the Bay of Fundy, home to the world’s highest tides.
