Sin Fronteras [Without Borders] is one of the leading Mexican civil society organizations specializing on migrant issues. An anchor grantee of the Foundation's Regional Migration Corridor Initiative, Sin Fronteras effectively combines direct service provision with policy advocacy. This award supports efforts to advance migrants' rights in the Mexico-Central American region through advocacy and litigation. Advocacy activities aim at generating policy proposals at the state, national, and regional levels to improve conditions for migrants. Strategic litigation efforts seek to set legal precedents in Mexico's justice system to improve due process for migrants.

Sin Fronteras works to support human rights in Mexico, provide legal services and protection to migrants, and advance improvements in national migration policy through direct dialogue and advisory services to government and as a lead coordinator of civil society voices. General operating support for Sin Fronteras will allow the organization to: 1) conduct advocacy and policy analysis for national level migration policy, as well as at an international level; 2) improve access to justice for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Mexico; 3) conduct training and research activities; and 4) support regional dialogue and cooperation on migration, focusing on temporary migrant labor between Mexico and Central American countries.
