In 2019, to get women’s input on how to improve reproductive health services in their communities, the Mexico National Safe Motherhood Committee coordinated the campaign “What Women Want Mx” as part of a global initiative sponsored by White Ribbon Alliance. More than 100,000 women from across the country responded in favor of establishing better treatment, improving access to laboratory work and medicines, and supporting midwifery. Their voices joined those of more than 1 million women around the world.
